Our churches
The association’s 75 member churches are organised into four areas. The greater number are in Longding District, and a number of congregations lie across the boundary in Assam, where Wancho families have settled.
Dividing the work into areas keeps decisions close to the congregations they affect, and allows churches within reach of one another to meet, train and plan together rather than only at association level.
Mission beyond our own district
From early on, the association has understood its work as extending past its own villages. It supports missionaries serving well outside Longding, in places where there was no Wancho congregation to begin with.
- Assam — Charaideo and Dibrugarh districts
- Arunachal Pradesh — West Kameng, Namsai and Lohit districts
Each of these fields is worked in partnership wherever a local body of churches already exists, so that new believers are gathered into a congregation that will remain after the missionary has moved on.
Education and training
The association runs two institutions of its own — one for the children of the district, and one to train those who will lead its churches.

Cho Theological College
