MOU signed between WBCA and WKBBCC

The Wancho Baptist Church Association (WBCA) and the West Kameng & Bichum Baptist Church Council (WKBBCC) formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Thursday, 10 September 2026, to step forward together with a well-structured partnership in spreading the Gospel.

Expanding the scope of our evangelistic ministry, WBCA sent two missionaries, Khosen Manham and Atrem Biham, in 2023 to Rupa, an important town in West Kameng inhabited by the Sherdukpen tribe. These two have been carrying out the ministry successfully up to this day, with as many as 16 new believers publicly declaring their faith in Jesus and receiving baptism. However, until now, we did not have a formal partnership agreement with WKBBCC.

After a period of discussions, a comprehensive plan for a more systematic collaboration was deliberated upon during a joint meeting of the leaders from both associations, which was subsequently approved. Consequently, this agreement was signed on the evening of Thursday, 10 September 2026, at the WKBBCC Office by the respective Presidents and Executive Secretaries representing the two associations.

We are hopeful that this will greatly assist us in conducting our ministry within the West Kameng District in a more meaningful and effective manner.

The WBCA President and Executive Secretary were accompanied by Mission Promoter Obinaku Mikham and Sunday School Director Thatea Fanai.
